NBC5/WPTZ Class Act School Supplies Drive

NBC5/WPTZ will hold their 10th annual Class Act School Supply drive in August 2019. During Class Act, NBC5 will collect school supplies during 3 ‘Stuff the Bus’ events throughout the region and deliver them to local partners such as The Salvation Army and the Joint Council for Economic Opportunity (JCEO). Those organizations handle the distribution of supplies to local families.

In Vermont, NBC5 is holding two ‘Stuff the Bus’ events. The first, is at the Shaw’s on Shelburne Road, on August 16th. The second will be at 30 Community Drive, where the food trucks park, on Friday, August 23rd. Both events are from 6 am until 6:30 pm and people are asked to bring donations in the hope to fill a bus to help families in Vermont.

The school bus is graciously provided by Mountain Transit, who have partnered with them for the 3rd year for their ‘‘Stuff the Bus’ concept and the Salvation Army of Greater Burlington, who also works with them on their Toys for Kids drive, will be distributing supplies to families.
